‘Om’s the word’ – Johnny Powell (vid cam tester 1 of ?)

A spot of video camera testing at Hebden Studios t’other day. The song… ‘Om’s the word’ is a work/prayer/ditty in progress… it’s a crap recording really but what the hell. The owl, a physical symbolic reference to the meaning of the song. The old and the wise, the young and the helpless.

Spiders!!!

Well, I’m not sure when, where, or how this was recorded…. but hell… surprisingly, here is a version of ‘Spiders’ the elusive track in the flesh!

Always intended for a full epic recording with The Dharma Bums who played it so well at many a gig and festival in such a horror-like eerily manner. ‘Twas unearthed by accident whilst copying old recordings to a new computer.  Tis a very skeletal 12 minute long version with Sam Leeming on mandolin in parts. Must have been a Buckfastleigh cottage recording. It’s sad to think that the bums never got this one down. I can hear everyone’s parts so clearly.

Maybe one day.
